LOCAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
The pig farm has a modern and highly efficient local wastewater treatment plant (LWWTP) to treat and purify all industrial and sewage water generated on the territory of the farm and a manure facility, both compliant with the European Commission's Best Available Technique requirements.
The wastewater treatment plant was first built in 1971. In 2019 repairs and modernization were carried out of the local wastewater treatment plant and new facilities were constructed: an extension of equalization tank, a pumping station for biologically treated water, a manure facility, sludge drying fields. The investment measures over the years reveal our desire to comply with all national and European requirements and norms for environmental protection.
On 16.06.2025, MANEX SUN JSC signed an administrative contract No. BG06RDNP001-4.017-0083-C01 under Selection Procedure No. BG06RDNP001-4.017 Targeted admission for project proposals to increase the efficiency of water consumption in agriculture under sub-measure 4.1 "Investments in agricultural holdings" of measure 4 "Investments in tangible assets" of the Rural Development Program for the period 2014-2020 by protecting the components of the environment.

Photovoltaic system converts solar radiation into electrical energy through monocrystalline photovoltaic panels. Our system is implemented on the territory of our livestock farm complex, photovoltaic modules being located on the available, free areas in and around the pig farm, covering an area of 13,000 sq.m.
For our company, the best solution to the problems related to the security of energy supply, environmental protection and economic development is to invest in renewable energy sources. The environmental benefit of PV plants is substantial, as it reduces the carbon footprint and limits the harmful environmental impact caused by traditional fuels. By storing excess electricity generated by solar panels, we have the required capacity when natural conditions change, preventing drops in performance.
